How to choose the right cue for your game
Weight
Most players prefer 18–21oz. Lighter cues (18–19oz) give more control. Heavier (20–21oz) generate more power. Start with 19oz if unsure.

12–13mm tips suit most players. Smaller tips (11–12mm) offer more spin control. Larger tips (13mm+) are more forgiving for beginners.

Irish linen wraps absorb moisture well — great for competitive play. Leather wraps feel premium. No wrap (wrapless) gives direct feedback through the cue.

What a quality cue actually changes
Consistent feedback
A well-balanced cue transmits the exact feel of every shot — helping you read your technique and improve faster.
Better accuracy
Low deflection shafts and quality tips reduce cue ball deviation on spin shots — giving you more control where it counts.
Confidence at the table
There’s a reason serious players are particular about their cue. When the equipment is right, your focus shifts entirely to the game.
